Let's get
something dead straight before we start.
I hate
Weight Loss programs
. I hate them more than you do, and I always have.
Really, I do.
And if you give me a few seconds I will tell you why.
But first,
let's start with how I got here, and why I'm writing this...
It was around
April 2008, I was browsing the web when I got an e-mail from a
friend raving about this new weight loss program called The Fitness Model Program.
Now, my
friend is actually someone whose opinion I trust, which is the only
reason I clicked on the link in the first place. And here I am...
"But why do I hate those damn weight loss programs with a manic
passion..."
Well, let me
explain. I've been overweight most of my life. I've tried diet after
diet and failed again and again. Then, a few years ago, I decided to
take matters into my own hands. I stayed up late studying nutrition
and fitness, and finally through trial and error, managed to lose
over 40 pounds, and lower my body fat to 8%.
I even went
from not being able to complete a 2 mile jog to running half
marathons. In my local gym, women would come up to me and ask me for
advice on how to get lean and fit. (in fact, you
may have read some of my health & fitness articles... but
that's another story).
Like I said, this was a few years ago, and since then I've sort of "let it go". I was desperately in need of a kick in the butt, but just didn't know it yet.
And here's the
deal... the weight loss industry is full of so many scammers who are just
after your money. They build up your dreams and desires, hoping to
get you to buy their product and care very little whether or not
you'll succeed...
Most of these
companies know that until the TRUTH about the quality of their
product gets around, they'll be able to sell their product to
millions of unsuspecting people and make a fortune.
So, you can
imagine how skeptical I was when my friend told me about The Fitness Model Program. But, she's usually right about stuff like that...
When I
reached the site, I was pretty impressed with the layout of the program, the simplicity of the system, and having the backing of a very in shape Jennifer Nicole Lee. It all seemed pretty logical, and Jennifer is more than pleasant, knowledgebale, and experienced...
But, again, I have to be honest with you...
At this point, I still thought to myself, "nice website, great spokesperson, seems
like she knows what she's talking about... but yet again, I've seen
so many other weight loss programs which seemed good but ended up as scams..so forget it".
And that was
that; I left the site... but a few days later my friend e-mailed me,
telling me how she already lost 15 pounds and felt the best shes ever had.
She told me to drop what I was doing, and go download the program right away. In an attempt at keeping the peace between us, I half-heartedly downloaded my copy of The Fitness Model Program.
Just so you
know, I only bought the Fitness Model Program since I couldn't have her losing all the weight and getting in the best shape of her life. No guys would give me a second look!
So I decided

In the end,
it took me two weeks to master the program - two full weeks
to ignore the noise and focus on the signal, and really understand
